Our Alabama Water Utilities business unit recently swept the 2025 Alabama Water & Pollution Control Association (AWPCA) plant awards in several categories.

All three of our larger owned wastewater plants, plus our larger contract operated plant were recognized. We received two Best Operated Plant awards (1st place), and two Certificate of Recognition awards (2nd place). These awards will be presented at the AWPCA Conference on August 13.

• Riverview WRRF Best Operated Plant, Activated Sludge Plant, 2.6 – 4.0 MGD (for 3rd straight year!)
• North Shelby WRRF Certificate of Recognition, Activated Sludge Plants 2.6 – 4.0 MGD
• Shelby Ridge WRF Certificate of Recognition, Activated Sludge Plants, Less Than 2.5 MGD
• Liberty Park WRF (contract operated facility) Best Operated Plant, Activated Sludge Plant, Less Than 2.5 MGD
